This ancient Savoie variety seems to like Mount Veeder very much and the wine reflects its family ties to Syrah. 22 months in neutral French oak barrels. No new oak. This tough, tannic and chewy version needs time, but possesses many attributes, with violet, plum and rich blackberry flavors at the core.
