Sterling Silver and 24k Gold Art Deco Style Earrings on Lever Back Ear Wires Gemstone Jewelry Two Narwhals on one sideThese beautiful earrings are inspired by art deco design but have a modern feel. They are made of solid sterling silver with 24k gold leaf applied to the surface. The gold leaf is fused to the sterling silver using a traditional Korean technique called Keum boo. In this process, 24k gold foil is burnished by hand to the surface using heat and a jade tipped tool, leaving the surface shiny, yet subtly textured. It is one of my favorite metalsmithing
