Miles Madeira Rainwater Color:White The ideal companion of simpleRainwater is a soft, well balanced and pleasant, medium dry wine from the Verdelho grape. The name, so the story goes, comes from a time when shipments of Madeira were left awaiting pickup on one of the island's beaches, during which time the barrels absorbed water during rain showers. This diluted the alcohol and created a less powerful wine. Today Rainwater is simply made without fortifying the Madiera base wine as much as the typical, sweeter, more
