Alfio Mozzi is a third generation grower in Castione Andevenno on the western edge of the Sassella zone, farming 3. 5 hectares of free draining schist between 350 and 550 meters elevation, much of it on terraces his grandfather built. The Rosso is the entry into his range: lighter on its feet than Sassella,
