On top of the cliffs is the village of Fairlight and this section of the beach is known as Cliff End

It seems, as of late 2017, to be getting covered again in sand. It is not known what the ship was. It is big about 50m long and probably saw service in the Baltic, as it has evidence of a double hull, used to protect ships from ice.
