The artwork was originally created for the Mastodon song "Fallen Torches," based on a concept by drummer Brann Dailor. Beckett expanded upon Dailor's vision with a unique combination of natural forms, ancient architecture and the Mastodon 'fire' sigil (first seen on their debut album Remission).
