I looked across the Gastineau Channel and noticed the low clouds on Douglas Island with the fresh snow from some rain which had fallen earlier in the day on the peaks

One evening I headed that direction in the evening for some photography

When it finally snowed in Denver I grabbed my camera and headed out into the elements

Treadwell Pump House in the Winter Building I looked across the GastineauOne winter while in Juneau I headed out to Treadwell on a Sunday afternoon. Treadwell is an old mining area on Douglas Island across from downtown Juneau. I started off by exploring the area away from the Gastineau Channel and then headed back towards the parking lot along the water. With the Taku winds blowing that day, but less than in the prior few days, it was nice to have the wind at my back. After passing the pump house, I turned around to look
