This allowed a different reflection to be found when I was photographing and while capturing the color also provided some mystery to the scene

Many of the wildflowers in the area were starting to peak which made a nice hike even more memorable

Mendenhall Lake and Glacier Building Located near the Sonny BonoMendenhall Glacier is located north of downtown Juneau in an area referred to as the valley. As the glacier slowly recedes the lake is forming and started to do so in 1931. If you follow the glacier up it will run into the Juneau Ice Field which is currently the 5th largest in North America.
