the challenge was to find a location where the tripod would be steady and not impacted with the incoming waves

It was a nice clear day in Denver as I walked down 14th Street to a meeting and I was photographing along the way

I then continued to enjoy a nice week of vacation on Maui

If you follow the glacier up it will run into the Juneau Ice Field which is currently the 5th largest in North America

Lassen National Park Size:18"x24" the challenge was to findLassen National Park is located a few hours north of Sacramento. The park contains the southern most volcano in the Cascade Range which is Lassen Peak. Throughout the park you will find still active mud pots and other types of activity. I stopped in the park in late 2009 while on a road trip from Sacramento to Denver with a friend. Even in the short time we stopped at the park it was an interesting site to see in the fall and is on my list of places
