Created by Rosemary Gladstar (what a rockstar foodie name!) in the 1970's, it was influenced by folk medicine and other home remedies. Most fire cider concocutions contain unpasturized apple vinegar, garlic, ginger, horseradish, chillies and other aromatics that then ferment for about a month. The result is a spicy, vinegary tonic that can be diluted and drank with hot
