Carved Marriage Bed Fascia Sideboard aged patinaJiangsu, circa 1850 Made from beech wood and with intricate geometric patterns and carvings, this arch shaped panel once formed the front of a traditional Chinese four post marriage bed. It was saved as a single piece and today would make an unusual headboard, perhaps as a frame for a television, or just a wonderful, stand alone wall feature. The upper part of the panel is made up of intersecting patterns made from individually joined, mitred pieces
