As we approached them we had the open oceans waters which provided a backdrop of distance in this image under overcast skies on this afternoon

With the fresh snow on the grass and the fall color in the leaves I found myself on the capitol steps to capture this image west through Civic Center Park towards the City and County of Denver building

At first it was a reflection of a mountain in the distance I noticed

As I navigated the mountains in Central Colorado

Sloans Lake Colorful Sunrise Building As we approached them wel went to Sloans Lake on a September morning with the goal of capturing the rising sun over the city of Denver. When I arrived the clouds were covering the city. In the matter of a few minutes they started to show the colors of the sun before sunrise which I was able to photograph. The calm winds as well as a long exposure helped add to the picture with the city and colors in the clouds reflecting in the lake.
