SAD Designs texture and formMade by English potter Edward Hughes, this expertly crafted reduction fired footed bowl features a rich and earthy wood ash glaze textured around the outside with subtly curved vertical indents typical of Hughes' work, easily mistaken for the likes of David Leach. His mark on this example is almost fully obscured by the glaze that pools around the exposed foot, which would usually be glazed too. The age of this bowl likely dates to the late 1980s
