Carved in Northern Italy by skilled woodcarvers. Stained with medium dark stain as pictured. Both the corpus (body of Jesus) and cross are made entirely of wood. Each piece is unique as slight nuances in craftsmanship are noticeable. Drilled hole allows to be placed on cord, rope or chain. Comes with Certificate of Authenticity.
