It seems obvious by cycle fans don’t seem to have anywhere near enough love for the people at the back of the race

Ever since then I’ve been meaning to create some artwork that reflects the atmosphere and the excitement of seeing the cyclists come round the Champs-Élysées on their final lap

biking through salt flats to the sea or stopping in parks for a picnic

The Prince part of it came later in my process. A few days before he passed, he was seen riding his bike around Paisley Park, happy as can be. So that just kind of tied it all together for me.
