Harradine's working relationship with Royal Doulton spanned from 1920 to 1959 and produced more beloved figurines than any other designer in the company's catalogue but among all his subjects, none was returned to more persistently than the Paisley Shawl. The subject first appeared in the 1920s and was reissued
