Dalkey Island Galway A winter bathing scene withA view of the historic Dalkey Island or Oilen Dheilginse 'Thorn Island' from Dillon Park in the village Dalkey in south County Dublin. The island features an historic ruin of St Begnets church and a Napoleonic era fort and Martello tower. Its inhabited only by seals and wild goats and is accessible by a small ferry from Coliemore Harbour nearby. This is one of many studies of Dalkey that the artist has made in Watercolour and graphite. This is a high
